The
Model CL5144 V/A/A to DS3 Codec offers a state-of-the-art solution
for converting one or two NTSC video signals with associated audio
into a single DS3 transmission signal or vice versa. The device uses
wavelet technology to compress the NTSC signals before transmission.
Inbound DS3 signals are demultiplexed and decompressed to create the
original NTSC video/stereo audio signals. Front panel indicator LEDs
allow the user to quickly assess the system's operational status.
