Satellite L-Band & IF Transport Links
Satellite L-Band Teleport Transport System - Model 3000
The Model 3000 L-Band Satellite Teleport Fiber Optic Transport System brings a state-of-the-art modular approach to the demanding Teleport environment. Spanning the entire L-Band frequency range (950-2150 MHz), the link employs a number of feature rich components to create a highly reliable system. The system may be ordered in a stand-alone or 3RU rack-mount configuration. All modules  utilize a factory-installed cartridge-style laser. The laser cartridge may be specified for conventional 1310 nm or 1550 nm operation, CWDM operation or DWDM operation. Replaceable laser cartridges allow quick repair of the system in the event of a laser failure and offer easy upgrades from conventional transmission to CWDM or DWDM transmission, greatly expanding the potential capacity of installed optical fibers. Both the transmitter and the receiver may be specified for 75 Ohm or 50 Ohm inputs. The transmitter also provides +18 Volts DC for LNB power. The 3RU rack chassis configuration offers increased system reliability via dual, redundant power supplies and hot-swappable modules. The system provides a -20 dB RF test point and other test points to determine laser current draw, laser cooler current draw, and ground, further ensuring proper Teleport system operations.

3RU Rack Chassis and Power Supplies - Model 3000C
The Model 3000C 3RU Rack Chassis and Power Supplies offer an advanced design that allows the user to install up to eight transmitters or receivers and two power supplies. The chassis will also accommodate support modules for the 3000 series and other specially designed transport links. Hot-swappable power supplies and modules ensure minimum system downtime and increased reliability. The power supplies are available in four options: Universal AC with SNMP and without SNMP, and -48 Volts DC with SNMP and without SNMP. An LED indicator on the power supply front panel assures the user that the power supply is operating correctly. A front panel common ground point is also available. Models 3000UB or 3000UD power supplies with SNMP interface include an RJ-45 connector and a DB-9 connector which allow the user to connect their 3000 system to an SNMPv2 management tool for SNMP monitoring and control of the system. A number of system parameters can be monitored, depending on which modules are installed in the chassis. The power supply DB-9 connector allows the user to locally configure the system’s IP address and other network parameters. Model 3000 Chassis and Power Supplies offer a cost-effective and highly reliable system for rack-mounting 3000 Series and 3753 modules.

SNMP Monitoring and Control Interface - Model 3001
The Model 3001 Remote SNMP Module allows users of the stand-alone 3000 Series transport modules to incorporate SNMP monitoring and control without having to switch to the 3RU rack-mount configuration. The Model 3001 provides an SNMP interface using an RJ-45 connector which allows the user to connect up to three 3000 Series stand-alone units to an SNMPv2 management tool for SNMP monitoring and control of the system. A number of system parameters can be monitored, depending on the transport modules in the system. For rugged environmental conditions, the Model 3001 and companion 3000 Series stand-alone links may be mounted in the Model 3090 NEMA-compliant rugged outdoor enclosure.

3RU L-Band Satellite Transport Link with LNB Power - Model 3005

The Model 3005 L-Band Satellite Transport System provides an economical solution for transporting digital signals for numerous satellite distribution applications, including headend relocation and distribution of digital broadcast systems (DBS). The system utilizes a cost-effective coax cabling configuration to distribute the RF signals from the dish to the transmitter and from the receiver to the headend. The single-mode optical fiber between the 3005 transmitter and the receiver allows transmission distances to 35 km for the 1310 nm version, and the 1550 nm transmitter allows transmission distances up to 60 km. Using LNB power from the transmitter reduces the need for additional equipment at the dish site. The Model 3005 L-Band Transport System, whether use in a an antenna remoting application or in a satellite distribution role, provides for transmission of the entire DBS spectrum in a simplified, flexible installation environment at one of the lowest costs found in today's market.

RS-232/422/485 or Ethernet Data Transceiver Module - Model 3010
The Model 3010 RS-232/422/485 or Ethernet Data Transceiver Module is designed to allow system operators to send bidirectional data from the control center to the satellite farm and back. Used in combination with the 3000 Series Teleport System, the Model 3010 data transceiver module allows the user to select RS-232 or RS-422/485 data via a two position switch located on the front panel. A tri-colored status indicator LED and two LEDs per data connector on the front panel show data activity on the corresponding transmitter/receiver channel. Ethernet data is transported at 10/100 Mb/s. Available with 1310 nm, 1550 nm, CWDM, and DWDM optics, the Model 3010 can be configured to meet any design need. The 3RU Model 3000 Chassis can house one Model 3010 data module and up to six 3000 Series transmitters or receivers, along with redundant power supplies. (See 3000C for details on the chassis and power supplies.) All 3000 Series modules are hot-swappable, helping to ensure easy replacement and guarantee system uptime. As part of the 3000 Series L-Band and IF family, the Model 3010 provides the professional satellite operator a high performance solution for satellite communications.

Ethernet Data Transceiver Module - Model 3015
The Model 3015 Ethernet Data Transceiver Module is designed to allow system operators to incorporate SNMP or web page monitoring and control of the modules in the 3000 Series Satellite L-Band/IF 70/140 MHz transport system. By installing the Model 3015 in a 3000 Series transport system, the Teleport operator has a means of implementing a system management and control interface via an optical link, eliminating the need for additional cabling in remote locations. The output of the Ethernet module connects to the input of a Model 3000UB or 3000UD power supply with integral SNMP interface, giving the operator access to real-time system status via an SNMP management tool or a web-based interface that works with Microsoft® Internet Explorer® (version 6). The output of the receiving Ethernet module may also be connected to a hub or router, allowing the user to connect multiple 3000UB or 3000UD power supplies housed in the same outbuilding. Ethernet also provides the user with the ability to create computer networks between distant locations or interface with equipment at 10 or 100 Mb/s rather than RS-232 or other data protocols. As part of the 3000 Series L-Band family, the Model 3015 provides the professional satellite operator a high performance solution for satellite communications.

SNMP RF Switch Module - Model 3020
The Model 3020 RF Switch module is designed to work with the 3000 Series Teleport links to provide RF signal redundancy. Used in combination with the 3000 Series Teleport System, the Model 3020 RF Switch module is available in 75 Ohm and 50 Ohm configurations. The Model 3020 may be ordered to work with L-Band 950-2250 MHz signals or IF 10-200 MHz signals. A front panel switch allows the user to select the primary or secondary signal path, or a low-level threshold detect may be used to allow the unit automatically switch from the primary path to the secondary in the case of a signal path failure. The low-level threshold is user-selectable via UP/DOWN buttons and a low-level test point. LEDs for SNMP control, and Primary and Secondary signal paths allow the user to quickly assess the units configuration. The Model 3020 occupies one of the eight slots in the 3000 Series Rack Chassis. The 3000 chassis also accommodates two redundant power supplies. All 3000 Series modules are hot-swappable ensuring easy replacement and maximizing system uptime.
