| BendBright
fiber encompasses all the features of Enhanced Singlemode (ESMF)
fiber and provides high resistance to additional losses due to
macrobending, particularly in the 1600nm wavelength region. This
feature allows BendBright to fully support L-Band (1625nm) applications
without excessive care when storing the fiber, lowering installation
costs. At 1625nm BendBright is guaranteed to exhibit no more than
0.05 dB loss for 100 windings with a 25 mm radius, and for a single
half turn of 16 mm radius. This is 10 times greater performance
than current industry specifications.
BendBright's improved macrobending performance also extends into
lower wavelength regions (1550nm, 1310nm, etc.) and allows bend
radii down to 15mm. For cable mounting inside buildings BendBright
supports installation with low cable bending radii and compact
organizers.
Opening the transmission window up to the highest wavelength
region in the L-Band together with the potential to expand the
working area in designing low pitch cables have challenged traditional
fiber macro-bending performance (even the latest low water peak
fibers). BendBright meets and exceeds the challenge. |
