The 1071, 1074, 1079, and 1097 series Push-to-Talk (PTT) handsets are a high-quality, fully-compatible handset replacement solution for Nortel digital, IP, and Meridian Digital Centrex telephones. Built from original Nortel handsets, the PTT handsets provide a reliable and easy-to-use solution for applications where it is important to prevent background noise and conversations from being heard at the far end of a telephone call (in between speaking).
Featuring an ergonomically designed soft-touch button, the PTT handsets operate by allowing normal transmission of voice and background sounds to a remote party only when the Talk button is pressed. When the button is released (Normal mode), the handset microphone is disabled, securely muting the transmission of speech and background sounds while still allowing the remote party to be heard |

 Mitel-compatible handsets are genuine Mitel handsets ensuring mechanical and audio compatibility with your Mitel telephone. These handsets have been modified to provide the function or performance changes as described.
- PTT (Push to Talk) handsets are used in security applications for prevention of accidental background audio transmission, by conference call participants in noisy environments, supervisors monitoring agents, and others with similar needs.

| Noise Canceling Adapter for Nortel Meridian Style Handsets |
  The 1072 Noise Canceling Adapter is designed for use with any Nortel Meridian style handset to eliminate or dramatically reduce background noise (and background conversations) from the transmit path of the handset.
The adapter can be affixed to the base of the telephone set and a short curly cord connects to the station set handset jack. The handset then plugs into the adapter. A power supply is also included. |
