The PEC3875B controlled ferroresonant rectifier
floats lead-acid battery strings of 23 or 24 cells comprised
of either the wet or VRLA battery design and supplies current
to the load. The Universal Load Sharing circuit allows the
rectifier to proportionally load share with ALL Major Brands
of Control Ferro Rectifiers making it an excellent choice
for adding to or replacing rectifiers at a site. Local AC
On/Off, DC output fuse, Float/Equalize and Test switches,
Voltage and Current meters along with adjustments for Float
and Equalize voltages are provided to facilitate installation,
operation and maintenance. The Universal Controller Interface
allows the rectifier to work with a variety of Conventional
and Intelligent Interfaces (PECO II, Marconi, Tyco, etc.*).
Connectors accept standard interface cables for Tyco CCS,
MCS and Galaxy* (pending) controllers. The reduced overall
size of each unit allows more rectifiers to be installed in
a given space, while conduit knockouts located on both the
top and front of the unit allow for flexibility. The controlled
ferroresonant design of this product provides an efficient
and cost effective approach to power conversion with the benefits
of enhanced reliability, reduced TIF and RFI, improved power
factor, and high immunity to transients.
