The VCS-20A combines four convenient tools in a single test set: a full-duplex digital talk set, a stable light source, a 2kHz tone generator and a 2 kHz tone detector. The light source is calibrated and is stable over time and temperature variations. Use continuous wave selection to measure attenuation and insertion loss. | Pulse Suppressors, also commonly referred to as OTDR Launch Boxes, Delay Lines or “Dummy Fibers” are used to occupy OTDR “Dead Zones” which enables accurate loss measurements on near end and far end connections of the fiber under test. Pulse Suppressors may also be used in an educational setting to simulate networks and during installation and troubleshooting. With the inclusion of additional loss points (fusion or mechanical splices,and/or connector events) the Pulse Suppressor becomes a Test Box for quick verification of your OTDR’s calibrated accuracy. Generate an initial scan upon first use of your OTDR, then periodically check future scans against the reference to be sure the equipment is within calibrated range.We specialize in customization of Pulse Suppressors and Test Boxes. | ||
