In
today's communications world, the growing bandwidth of the digital
services offered to customers is increasing.
Transferring circuits to fiber or providing a redundant physical
layer back-up route is essential.
Due to local network competition, the demand for lower costs and
better service has come full circle.
Utilizing RECAPSS will...
- Save You Money... by allowing craft personnel to work
more efficiently. No need to revisit the splice each time for
every special circuit release. Fewer times in and out of splices
mean fewer changes of introducing a problem.
- Improve Customer Service... by eliminating the need for
craft personnel to keep handling the network. Once RECAPSS is installed,
you will never need to touch the splice again, unless you want
to reuse the RSU at a different location.
- Transfer Circuits in Milliseconds... means less down
time for your customers
Proven in the field technology, RECAPSS units are in service throughout
the United States, with Telephone Companies, Commercial and Residential
users and the US Military, as well as in Canada, Europe, and the
Pacific Rim. |
| Remote Switch Units (RSUs) Each switch in a Remote Switch
Unit (RSU) connects a Input pair (C) to either an Primary pair (A)
or a Secondary pair (B) without interrupting service to the customer.
The switching between the Primary or Secondary side is preformed
by the Commander Control Software package. The Commander Control
Software package, Commander for short, runs on a Windows PC with
a modem.
The system accommodates all circuit types suitable for twisted
copper pairs. An operator can transfer one pair at a time or select
groups of pairs with just one button. In the case of trouble with
the secondary pair, the user can rapidly put it back. With three
different switch styles and many different packaging options the
reusable RSUs repay their initial cost many times over. |

Remote Switch Units (RSUs)
Switch Arrangement: Switches are arranged in 100
switch modules. Each module uses a single control pair to individually
address and actuate each switch. Modules are assembled in case
sizes from 100 to 2100 switches. |
Control Unit (CU)
Switching Capacity: 10,000 switches
(fully equipped) 1000 switches per Line Relay card, up to 10
