Fiber Optics 1-2-3 Design-Installation-Maintinance Training Course
Gain the knowledge and skills to be a Certified Fiber Optic Technician. This hands-on 2 day training course gives you a practical understanding of fiber optic communication systems and teaches you the most up to date fiber techniques. Learn the skills necessary to design, install, test and maintain both multimode and singlemode networks.
* You will Learn
Fiber Optic Theory: Effectively design and troubleshoot fiber systems
Cables: Indoor, outdoor, and special types
Connectorization: TIA/EIA 568B standards, multimode and singlemode.
Splicing: Fusion and mechanical.
Installation: Premises, underground, aerial and buried
Testing: Learn how to use OTDRs, power meters, light sources, microscopes and fiber identifiers for testing and troubleshooting.
Restoration: Identify, locate and resolve problems quickly in your fiber optic system.
Design: Objectives and options for both multimode and singlemode systems. Learn how to select and integrate components for your singlemode or multimode network design.
Safety: Learn about proper fiber habdling, laser classifications and safety, chemicals and MSDS.
Course approved for 16 or 32 BICSI RCDD credits.
* Course Level 1: Introductory to Intermediate: Beginners to experienced fiber technicians find the class beneficial.
'I have learned more from this class than in two years that I have been working with fiber optics. Outstanding! I would recommend it to anyone.'
