FVIW System
Easy setup - only the power cord to connect
Inclined angle for more comfortable use
Portable - built in handle makes it easy to move
Smooth, convenient fine focus control
When asked for our recommendation of a video system, we first
suggest our new FVIW System. Originally developed upon request
from a leading manufacturer in the fiber industry, these systems
have grown exceptionally popular with many other key companies.
All of the FVIW systems include a video microscope, video monitor,
and a 2.5mm universal adapter. As always, additional adapters
can be purchased separately.
The advantage of the FVIW system is the combination
of our video inspection microscope and a video monitor to
form one complete unit. This makes setup easy and almost
instant! For 110v systems, simply pull the system from its
packaging, plug it in, and its ready to use! No complex
connections, no wiring diagrams. There is only one power
cable in the rear. (220v models for Europe also require
connecting a separate power supply)
The ergonomic design provides a more comfortable viewing angle
by inclining the monitor back 22.5°. This significant feature
works in tandem with the inclined face of the microscope to provide
a better overall instrument/user interface.

Enhanced
Contrast System
API announces a new illumination
enhancement for our 400X Video Fiber Microscopes that allows you
to see even "finer" details of fiber end faces. We call
this new development our Enhanced Contrast System - ECS.
With the rise in optical networking and demand for higher bandwidth
systems, the necessity for cleaner, scratch-free fiber surfaces
has forced polish quality and cleanliness standards higher. More
critical inspections of fiber end faces must be performed. With
"ECS", your Video Fiber Microscope will be capable of
displaying minute debris particles and defects in fiber end faces
including "fine white polish lines" (0.5 to 2.0 micron
scratches).
ECS
now comes standard in all our new 400X systems (FV, FVIW, FVDW,
FVCW). However, if you presently own a 400X Video Fiber Microscope
and would like to upgrade to ECS, please read the details below
Image detail without ECS
What is
the "ECS" upgrade?
The ECS upgrade is an illumination conversion package. It includes
a powerful new blue LED that enhances the optical system of our
Video Fiber Microscopes.
Why should I upgrade to "ECS"?
If your application requires you to inspect for and eliminate
the fine white polish lines on fiber surfaces, you'll need a system
that can produce extremely clear, distinct images. ECS improves
the image contrast and quality which is essential for these key
inspections.
How can I convert my system to ECS?
API will convert your system to ECS when you return you unit to
our service department. This modification takes a very short time
to complete, and your unit will be returned to you promptly upon
completion. We ask that you call our Customer Service department
to obtain a return authorization number and instructions for your
shipment. Please call 416-281-6902 or e-mail us at info@agtprint.com.
The serial number of your unit(s) is required.
