Used for extremely difficult thermal applications, Megafin’s augmented fin style brings 18% more fin area to the same mechanical envelope as is possible with a straight fin. There is a pressure drop penalty of 5 to 6% which is more than compensated for by the over-all improvement in the heat sink’s total thermal performance.
