Designed to read any ABA Track-2 magnetic stripe credit card. The telephones are field programmable to automatically route the call to the selected carrier's call processing equipment. When the processor answers, the telephone "dumps" the information which it has read and temporarily stored. The processor validates the card and signals the telephone to allow the call.
