The Uniline Horizontal Lifeline System
offers workers continuous protection from falls
from height using a uniquely designed cable.
The Uniline Cable
Uniline is a 16mm diameter parallel fibre synthetic
cable. It consists of strength bearing inner core fibres
covered by two jackets.
The red neoprene inner jacket is waterproof and
protects the core from various environmental
conditions including a wide range of chemicals. The
red neoprene jacket also acts as a wear indictor and if
it is exposed the cable should be replaced.
The outer jacket is a synthetic yarn that protects the
red jacket and inner core from wear. It comes in a
variety of colours to suit the aesthetic requirement of
the owner.
The Uniline cable is lightweight, very strong and its
unique properties dissipate the dynamic forces due to a
fall throughout the cable ensuing that the forces on the
end anchor points are less then those produced when
using a steel cable
Features
Single spans up to 50m (164 ft) for multiple users
Pass through intermediate brackets available
for longer systems also reduce end loads and
cable deflection in the event of a fall
Intermediate brackets have nylon shear pin
that reduce the loads to the structure and
allow the brackets to be orientated in a variety
of positions to suit the location of the lifeline.
Only the shear pins needs to be replaced after
a fall.
UniGrip Tensioner & Swage hold the Uniline
cable and simplify installation by eliminating
the need for cumbersome onsite roll swaging.
UniGrip Tensioner has a built in tension
indicator which allows the user to check if the
system is correctly set and safe for use.
UniBend corner brackets allow system to work
around even the most complex structures and
obstacles.
UniGrab provides a safe means of attaching
any where along the Uniline cable.
UNI-8 Horizontal Lifeline System
Use
The Uni-8 Horizontal Lifeline System offers workers
continuous protection from falls from height using a stainless steel
cable and pass through system.
Features
Uni-8 cable and components are made from type 316 stainless
steel for corrosion resistance.
Spans up to 12m (39 ft) between intermediate supports
Energy absorbing Intermediate brackets can be orientated in a
variety of positions to suit the location of the lifeline.
Uni-8 Swageless Tensioner & Toggle hold the Uni-8 cable and
simplify installation by eliminating the need for cumbersome onsite
roll swaging.
Uni-8 Swageless Tensioner has a built in tension indicator which
allows the user to check if the system is correctly set and safe for
use.
UniBend corner brackets allow system to work around even the
most complex structures and obstacles.
If necessary an In-line Energy absorber is available to reduce end
loading to the structure.
